Cass
At 9:00 last Saturday morning a team of 40 odd climbers from the club assembled at the rec to head out on the annual Cass trip at castle hill. After a wee drive and quick refuel on Sheffield pies we arrived at castle hill, and as the sun was shining we hit the rock like sheep to the meadow. Notable climbs of the day were; ode to joy, a huge highballer V1 which a number of people managed to climb, hanging on desperately above a stockpile of crash pads, and the cave outside dark castle where almost everyone gave it a go.
Saturday night was spent at the Cass field station with a well headed beer in hand, a good meal of spag bol and all sorts of shenanigans going on.
After a healthy breakfast and ballsy pumpkin soup in the morning, Sunday was spent trudging up and down flock hill, and what a privilege to be there. Setting up a slackline to have a play on sounded like it might be some fun but went terribly wrong after slight miscalculation led to the sudden uplifting and tumbling over of one of the boulder anchors, and straight onto the slackline, oops! what a bitch it was to try and lift up that rock. Some of us before heading home then went through cave stream, a nice hour long limestone cave exploration, very groovy way to wrap up a perfect weekend playing on rocks.

Sunday 2nd March
The Roxx climbing night
Thanks to all those who showed up, good numbers, good night climbing! Nice to see the a fair range of climbers hanging out, climbing up wackey boye problems, rope climbing, lead, bouldering, the full Monty. Good thing to see everyone getting into it and getting pumped out too, loved it.

Little Eye logo stickers were handed out to wack onto your student card/other form of ID, I sure hope all those who came got one. The stickers are not essential but they are this years proof membership and it's important you have one. More will be given out at the R&R buynight. Or come to the Recreation center on Tuesday and pick one up.
Peace out.
